MED CHANGE

Vanderbilt called yesterday with "stable" news. My labs are still stable enough for me to lower my prednisone to 12.5 mg. The goal is to be completely off of prednisone, which would be awesome, cause im so tired of all the extra weight ive gained, and my "moon face". Those were the only med changes I had this time around. Oh yeah, my nicotine test came back negative. The way she said it, made me think that she was saying that it was my first test that has came back negative, when the last ten or so should have been negative as well. I have to go back in two weeks again, on February 8th. Corbin has an appointment with the E.N.T. at Monroe Carrell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt that day as well. Hopefully we will be able to have his surgery scheduled that day, so he can breathe and eat better.

Until then,
Erin

CURRENT MELD SCORE - 15

Last blood draw my MELD score was at 13. I received a phone call today from the clinic, with the instructions to keep tapering my prednisone. I am to lower it from 17.5mg daily, to 15mg daily. From the looks of it, my Potassium is still low. As of right now, I'm on 20 meq daily.
I missed the phone call today, so they left me a voicemail with these instructions, and for me to call back or E-mail them to let them know i had received the call and got the orders. Also to confirm that I'm still taking the Potassium Chloride. hopefully they will not up my dose, much start making me drink that horrid liquid Potassium.
until then, ill post back again on the 25th.

preparing for bi-weekly labs tomorrow.

Well once again, my veins and blood get to go on a date with a butterfly needle tomorrow. when? I don't know, I guess when ever I can make it up to Nashville to have it done.

On another note, Corbin is under the weather again. Hes been running a temp of 102 for a couple of hours now, so it looks like hes gonna be going with me tomorrow, instead of going to school!

*DEEP BREATH IN AND OUT*

Keep us in your prayers.
Ill let ya know how everything goes when I get home.

*Morris family Christmas*

Corbin had a hard time trying not to open some of his gifts before Christmas, so when the day finally came, HE HAD A BLAST. But before we went to bed, we made some reindeer food, put our coats on, and sprinkled the food  in the yard for Santa's reindeer. We even put a pile at the end of the sidewalk for Rudolph. Corbin also left Santa a warm glass of milk and cookies. As usual, we woke up, came down stairs, and found all the gifts that mommy, daddy, and Santa had left.
The chairs in the way of all the gifts. I guess Santa got tired and had to take a seat.

He opened all of his presents BARE NAKEY.
 This picture is absolutely adorable.
BIG MISTAKE. I now have blue paint on my front door, that's supposed to be washable paint....pshh...
Super hero costumes. He loves to dress up like spider man.
He was upset about his DVD player, but cant live without it in the car.
This must be from mommy and daddy. Surely Santa wouldn't give CLOTHES for Christmas.
I believe this is his "Dr. kit".
Ignore the sun drop bottle, but Santa says Corbin was a good boy this year.
I finally got them dressed and snapped this picture before they ran out the door.

Now that we were all dressed, we went back to Nanny and Papa's to do the Payne family Christmas.
 More gifts?
 Sekrit is getting sooo big.
 Wore slap out.
He says this is his "mad pace" :p

Christmas Eve from start to finish

Christmas Eve morning, we got up early, got showered, got dressed, and headed to Nanny and Papa's house for our traditional breakfast. We had a wonderful breakfast casserole, bacon, eggs, biscuits. I can't remember what else there was, but it was a ton of food, for just Allen, his parents, and brother and sister, Corbin and I.
THE FLASH SEEMS TO MESS WITH THEIR EYES. :)

AUNT LULU IS AN AMAZING ARTIST.

                                                    ISN'T THIS PICTURE JUST PRESH!

CORBIN GOT A LEAPSTER LEAP FROG GAME THINGY. HES TEACHING NANNY HOW TO PLAY.

CORBIN PLAYING WITH 1 OF MANY OF THE TOYS HE GOT.

Corbin also got an awesome recliner, from uncle Justin. You will see it in other pictures later on.
After we ate opened gifts and enjoyed each others company we left and headed to uncle Jim and aunt Jennifer's house, to give Allie and Mykenzie their gifts.
THE FLASH MESSED WITH ALLIES EYES AS WELL! Showing off there gifts, Allie got a baby doll and Corbin got a build-a-bear.
THEY WERE GIVING EACH OTHER A KISS GOODBYE. (they kept moving before i could get the picture, so Jennifer tried holding them in place.)
too bad Mykenzie was at her daddy's for Christmas. we would have loved to gotten to see her.

On the way to Manchester for Pa and Granny Rogers Christmas shin-dig, we made a pit stop at Nana's to give her her gift. She absolutely loved it because Corbin handed them to her.
She got a quilt and sheets for her bed.
we even got her dog Sophie a scarf.
.
We finally made it to Granny and Pa Rogers' house for their Christmas Eve Dinner.
 Four generations of OUTSTANDING men.
Granny Rogers loves Corbin to pieces. He's there only great grandchild.
He gave every one there a "plu shot" with his doctor kit he got. He's obsessed with the moon so he got a moon lamp that goes through each phase. One every night.

We almost lost Pa Rogers a few weeks ago. He has a blockage in right leg that we found out about a year ago about, but all is caused by smoking.  He was taken to St. Thomas and put on a vent to help him breathe. He had pneumonia, but is now home, and doing ok so far. Hes now on oxygen, but hes still here with us. We thank God every day hes still here.

I know its a long post, but I promise the one for Christmas day will NOT be as long, just more pictures.
